Sylvan Lucas Unified High School continues to help the Art Center

Every April or May for about the last four years, students and instructors from the Sylvan-Lucas Unified High School divide into groups and spend one day volunteering and working in the area towns of their school district.

The art center has been a recipient of their energetic efforts all four years. We appreciate their efforts as they first helped with clean-up at the Deeble Rock Garden when we had the hail storm that destroyed roofs, windows, sculptures, etc. at Lucas. Since then they have helped with landscaping at the Deeble Rock Garden, installed “Pole Art,” helped reorganize the storage area upstairs at the art center and this year they discarded junk and reorganized the art center’s “Art Shed.”
